A New Beginning

The Olympus Group is working to meet society's needs and create new value by dynamically exploring new frontiers and creating businesses in various fields. In July 2010, Olympus integrated new businesses developed by Olympus Corporation and ITX Corporation under a newly established company, Olympus Business Creation Corp. This new organization will bring together the diverse human resources needed for the strategic development and promotion of new businesses. It will also become the umbrella organization for businesses in which the Olympus Corporation and ITX Corporation have invested while providing a uniform management structure for business development and investment by Olympus Business Creation Group companies.

Olympus Business Creation Corp. will provide a competitive and collaborative environment in which the technology development expertise of Olympus personnel can be combined with the wide-ranging business development expertise of ITX personnel to create a structure capable of providing leadership in business creation and promotion and supporting totally new types of business initiatives.
Companies in which Olympus Corporation and ITX Corporation have invested will be regrouped under Olympus Business Creation Corp. to create a new structure that will enhance the Olympus Group’s ability to respond quickly to user needs in various fields through the creation of new products and services. We are confident that this new approach will allow us to expand the scale of our activities and accelerate our business development.
In addition to the expansion of existing business activities, we also have a vital mission to create a new generation of core businesses for the Olympus Group. We will go beyond existing business domains and apply bold ideas and strategies to the creation of new businesses and industries that will contribute to society.
